Description
SRNE 20kW Three-Phase Low-Voltage Hybrid Solar Inverter
The SRNE 20kW (20kWh is technically an energy-storage unit; the inverter itself is rated in kW) three-phase low-voltage hybrid inverter is a high-capacity 48V battery inverter designed for commercial, residential and light-industrial solar installations. The current SRNE HESP48200SH3 model provides 20kW continuous three-phase output and supports solar PV, battery, grid and generator integration.

How the system works
The inverter acts as the central energy-management unit of the solar system:
Solar Panels → SRNE Inverter → 3-Phase Loads
At the same time:
Solar Panels → SRNE Inverter → 48V Lithium Battery → Backup Loads
And when solar/battery power is insufficient:
Grid/Generator → SRNE Inverter → Loads / Battery Charging
This makes it suitable for facilities that need solar energy during the day, battery backup at night and automatic integration with grid or generator power.
Important advantage of the 48V low-voltage design
Because this is a 48V battery system, it can work with compatible 48V lithium battery banks. However, at 20kW output, the battery-side current can be very high. The SRNE specification allows up to 350A, so the battery cables, busbars, breakers/fuses and battery bank must be properly sized.
Key Advantages
1. 20kW three-phase output
Suitable for substantial three-phase loads in homes, businesses, workshops, farms and commercial premises.
2. Large solar input capacity
The inverter can accept up to 30kW of PV, allowing the solar array to be larger than the inverter’s 20kW AC output rating.
3. Three independent MPPTs
The three MPPT trackers allow the solar array to be divided into separate strings, which is useful where panels have different orientations, roof sections or shading conditions.
4. Large battery charging capability
With up to 350A charging capability on the 20kW HESP model, the inverter can recharge a substantial 48V lithium battery bank when adequate solar power is available.
5. Strong backup capability
The inverter can supply stored battery energy to supported loads when solar production is low or the grid fails.
6. Suitable for motor loads
The system has high short-duration power capability, making it useful for applications involving pumps, compressors and other motor-driven equipment, within the manufacturer’s specified limits.
7. Three-phase load management
It produces 230/400V three-phase power, making it suitable for equipment commonly found in commercial and industrial environments.
8. Expandable system
SRNE states that up to 9 units can be connected in parallel, providing a pathway for larger installations where the required capacity exceeds one inverter.
9. Outdoor-capable enclosure
The HESP model is specified with IP65 protection, providing protection against dust and water ingress when properly installed.
10. Flexible battery compatibility
The inverter supports lithium-ion, lead-acid and user-defined battery configurations, although lithium batteries with appropriate BMS communication are generally preferable for modern solar-storage installations.
